Science has always been my passion. My aims are to make the science of health and nutrition more accessible to the public and to share clear, evidence-based information that helps people live healthier, happier lives.
I studied Natural Sciences and Chemical Engineering to PhD level at the University of Cambridge and spent over a decade as a research analyst, analysing food and health research for some of the world’s largest food and healthcare companies.
My parents moved to England from Thailand in the early 1970s, and I was born and raised in London.
We spent summers and Christmas holidays in Thailand, and while my parents worked, I would spend time with our amazing relatives. Family is big in Thailand. I had the most wonderful time visiting food markets, temples and historic sites, but mostly just hanging out at their homes, enjoying meals together, and absorbing the culture and wisdom.
My parents loved adventure and travel. I have always loved learning about different cultures and meeting different people. And I especially love trying different foods and cuisines.
I lost my beloved dad to colon cancer over 25 years ago, a disease we now know is strongly influenced by diet and lifestyle. He was in his late fifties. His loss helped lead me towards my purpose: to shine a light on health and wellbeing and help others protect their health.
Alongside my scientific training, I hold qualifications in Nutrition, Health Coaching and High-Performance Coaching, and now work as an integrative health and life coach. I also write and speak about evidence-based health and wellness, translating complex research into practical insights that people can apply in everyday life.
I have spoken at festivals and appeared on radio and podcasts, and I share accessible, research-led health insights through this website and my social platforms. I am currently seeking publication for my book – Rebalance: 5 Steps to a Healthier Life.
I live in Cambridge with my husband and teenage daughter. I enjoy yoga and dance and hold a second-degree black belt in karate.
I hope that the research and work I share will help you – and give you hope and inspiration on your own wellness journey.
